Through the 2021 Best Practice Awards in Social Welfare, ‘Start from the Beginning - Chinese Supporting Scheme for Non-Chinese Speaking Students in Kindergarten’ was recognised for its outstanding performance in the social service sector. The award was presented by the Director of Social Welfare, Lee Pui-sze (first from the left).

  • 'Foundation Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education for Non-Chinese Speaking Learners' was awarded the Social Capital Builder Logo Awards by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau’s Community Investment and Inclusion Fund. (2022)
  • ‘Start from the Beginning - Chinese Supporting Scheme for Non-Chinese Speaking Students in Kindergarten’ was awarded the Outstanding Social Service Awards by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service. Through the 2021 Best Practice Awards in Social Welfare, the project was recognised for its outstanding performance in the social service sector.   • An Oxfam project that successfully enhanced migrants’ integration into urban society in Shandong was awarded the Jinan City's Outstanding Social Work Service Project of 2021 by the Jinan Social Work Association and the leader of our project partner Jinan Gichon Social Service Center for Community awarded "Excellent Social Worker". (2021)
  • Children’s picture book ‘How can Chinese New Year not be Happy’ and ‘The Two Hua Dan’ have received the Distinguished Publishing Award and Publishing Award (Children and Young Adult Category) of The Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Award 2021 respectively.
  • From Targeted Poverty Alleviation to Rural Revitalisation, a research publication of OHK’s project in Yunnan Province, won the Excellence Award in “The Call for Academic Research Publication of Poverty Alleviation”, which held by the National Center for Poverty Alleviation Publication and Education and China Poverty Alleviation and Development Center.  (2020)
  • Oxfam was awarded its third Jinju Award (previously known as 'Kumquat Award') during the China Foundation Evaluation 2020, which was held in Beijing. Oxfam was one of the only two international organisations among the 11 award-winning institutions. Moreover, Oxfam also received “Special Contribution Award”, “Large-Scale Funding Award” and “Long-Term Companion Award” during the ceremony. (2020)
  • The children’s picture book ‘The Incredible Box’, which Oxfam Hong Kong published, came in eighth place in Hong Kong Education City's 'The 17th Top Ten Book Picks - Teachers’ Book Picks (Primary School Division)'. (2020)
  • Oxfam Hong Kong’s agency website received 26th annual Communicator Award of Distinction Winners (General-Non-Profit Category), judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts in the US.(2020)
  • Children’s picture book 'Monsters Eat My House' published by Oxfam Hong Kong received The Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Award 2019: Children and Teenager Category. (2019)
  • Oxfam Hong Kong’s agency website was awarded the W³ Gold Award from the AIVA. The W³ Awards celebrate digital excellence by honoring outstanding websites, web marketing, videos, mobile sites/apps and social content created by some of the best interactive agencies, designers, and creators worldwide. (2019)
  • Oxfam Hong Kong’s agency website received the WebAward 2019 – Non-Profit Standard of Excellence, selected by the Web Marketing Association. The WebAward competition is the longest running annual website award competition dedicated to naming the best websites in 96 industries while setting the standard of excellence for all website development.   • Two projects to support domestic workers and migrant population managed by our partner Jinan Gichon Social Service Center for Community awarded with the “Top Ten Social Service Projects” in the “Best Social Worker, Top Ten Social Services and Top Five Social Service Agencies Awards” organised by Jinan Social Work Association held for the first time. (2019)
  • Awarded the Excellence Award for Charitable Organizations; Excellence Award for Small Size Entries; and Citation for Environmental, Social and Governance Disclosure at the HKMA 2019 Annual Reports Competition for the Oxfam Annual Report 2017/2018. (2019)
  • Community projects initiated by Pui Ching Middle School Oxfam Club received awards in a competition organised by Design For Change Macau (DFC) in 2018 and 2019. Their projects were selected to represent Macau in the exchange programme held in Taiwan and Rome respectively. (2018 and 2019)
  • The New Model of Multi-Grade Teaching in Rural Areas of Gansu Province Programme, implemented by our partner Research and Training Centre for Western Basic Education of Lanzhou University was awarded the Teaching Achievement Special Award of Gansu Province, and  a second prize in the National Teaching Achievement Award (Basic Education) from the Ministry of Education (MoE) (2018)
  • Awarded the Excellence Award for Small Size Entries in the HKMA 2018 Annual Reports Competition for the Oxfam Annual Report 2016/2017. (2018)
  • Awarded the honor of ‘Special Collective Contribution’ by the government of Zizhou County, Shaanxi Province, for OHK’s 7.26 flood response and relief efforts in 2017 (2018)
  • Children’s picture book 'If the World Were a School of 100' received the Teachers' Book Picks (Secondary School Division) award at Hong Kong Education City’s 14th Top Ten Book Picks. (2017)
  • Nie Dongyuan, a community worker of our partner organisation Gansu Murun Social Work Service Center, wrote an article entitled ‘A Path-finding Partnership With Pengpo Village Towards Better Livelihoods ’ in Gansu Farmers Daily; the article, which is about an integrated rural development project Oxfam supported, won the 2016 National Farmers Newspaper’s Good News Third Prize.   • Awarded ‘Best NPO Annual Report’ by China Philanthropy Research Institute, Beijing Normal University (2016)
  • A project supervisor at Ruili Women and Children Development Center, our partner organisation, was awarded the Outstanding Prize by the Anti-drug and AIDS Prevention and Control People's War (the 3rd Round) in Dehong District, Yunnan Province (2016)
  • A project supervisor at the Association for Promotion of Health and Care of Xishan District, Kunming City, (our partner organisation) was awarded the Outstanding Prize by the Anti-drug and AIDS Prevention and Control People's War (3rd) in Kunming District, Yunnan Province (2016)
  • Our partner, Committee of Education, Science, Culture, Health and Sports in Changshun County, was awarded the National Unity and Model Collective Honor Prize by the prefectural government of Qiannan (2016)
  • The project ‘Civic Education for University Students in Gansu Province in cooperation with Rainbow Volunteer Club’ was awarded the Youth Power Award during the Youth Innovation Competition at the Shenzhen Charity Fair (2016)
  • The project ‘Advocacy of the Domestic Violence Intervention Service and Anti-Domestic Violence Law’ was awarded the Cooperation Model Award and Popularity Prize during the China & Hong Kong Philanthropy Forum (2016)
  • The project ‘Supporting Communities’ Public Service for Migrant Workers in the Pearl River Delta’ awarded Cooperation Model Award in China & Hong Kong Philanthropy Forum (2016)

  • The Oxfam Interactive Education Centre was awarded the Gold Award (Non-School Division) by Hong Kong Arts Development Awards 2009.
